Drop your thoughts on how it looks and if its convenient. I'm trying to get a kobo e-reader since its cheap and its been proven to read cbr files.

Ive been reading my books on my ipad and its great some weeks i actualy dont even read my hard copys(still buy them to support the industry) just throw them up on the stack and read them on my tablet. Although readers can make a real difrense some do some weird shit were they turn two page spreads on there side and when you turn your tablet on its side so you can read the text it turns in to two page few and the spread is also turnd again and then you have tree pages that are unreadbel.

I use the free comicbooklober app wich is the best reading experience i have had ( although no guided view, wich is over rated) but it does chrash sometimes. Wich is anoying so i have back up reader.

But the reading is realy great. You dont have the glare you have with hard copys. Its easyer to hold. You can zoom in on anything. And if you travel as much as me (im in a train about 10 to 15 hours week) its realy nice to be able to just throw a couple hundred books on there and let time fly.

So i dont know what functions an e-reader has fore cbr,s or what the screens like but the idea of reading comics on a tablet feels more natural to me than a hard copy (althoug im guesing most of you wouldent agree with me on that)

(now i only Hope this doesnt sound to much like an ad :p )

Yeah i know the price sucks ! And you real shouldnt buy it if its just fore comics. i just got lucky with some tax refunds that i want expeting :D
Also wenn im done with this ipad i probably wont buy a new one. Right now i use it a lot becaus i have to travel crazy amounts of time and its great on the but at home i only use it fore reading comics. But next year i will hardly have to travel any more. So i dout if ill realy need it anymore.

But if you do deside to go fore the kobo, i am realy curious to what its like reading on an e-reader.if its any good It might be a good option for me next year. Becaus i think reading comics on a screen is nicer and on a tablet feels more natural than a pc

I've read comics on my iPhone, and it was good. It was good but it was a little difficult to read the text. I imagine on an iPad would be much better though. If I had a tablet I would definitely do it.

i just heard the kobo isnt even in color. SMH there goes that idea. They need to make a ebook reader specifically for comics, in color. comic book size, doesnt need internet or wifi really, just the ability to connect to your pc.

but if i was to get an ipad, honestly, itd be just for comics. maybe netflix. and id need the 64 gb one. cuz i go all out like that lol

I don't think they need a comic book specific tablet, I think the iPad and next generation of tablets will be able to handle comics just fine. I do however think that comic writers and artists may want to take into consideration just how many people are reading this stuff on their tablets and maybe have the art reflect that.

Aw that sucks but can see your argument for an comicbook e reader if it would be alot cheaper. Although i doudt the market would be big enough for a special reader
