Greetings Planet Ill family. I’ve been writing and contributing to this illustrious web destination for four years now, covering mostly underground and indie stuff. One of the benefits of my tenure here is that it lends me a ton of cache in the real world and I’ve been able to parlay my hip hop knowledge and my body of work here and other places into a real life gig.
I am the Hip Hop Genre Director at KPSU, the college radio station for Portland State University, the largest public institution in the state of Oregon by more than a lil bit. I’ve had the most downloaded podcast at the station pretty much since I started doing my show, Rip Shop Radio, last year, and I’ve honed my skills and learned some things to a degree that Odiesel suggested I bring my OTHER talents to Planet Ill.
So here it is. Rip Shop Radio Episode 1 for Planet Ill. It’s actually my 32nd episode for KPSU, but it’s really the first one I felt would pass muster for the discerning Planet Ill listener.
