Kendrick Lamar this week took everybody by surprise with his verse on Big Sean’s Control where he made some strong declarations and upset a whole bunch of New York rappers. We discuss how the song started its buzz, whether the many responses were worthy of being recorded, and whether this a “Hip-Hop moment?” We also have input on Kendrick jacking portions of his verse from fellow West Coast emcee, Kurupt.
