Never heard of this band before, but how do you scroll past a crew that calls themselves Pissed Jeans? I don’t know about you, but I couldn’t do it.
Following Subpop on the YT is a daily adventure in my inbox and today was no different. It’s a loud, obnoxious, throw-back punk sound that is sometimes necessary in my world of irritating nonsense.
The song is called “Cathouse,” but is it really about where the hookers dwell? Hell if I know, I’m new to these folks and I can’t yet relate to their sense of metaphor. It might not even be clever. It might really be about poking hoes. I guess I’ll have to check out their upcoming album, Honeys to find out.
