Tech N9ne & Krizz Kaliko Headline At A3C 2012

By Odeisel

If you don’t know about Tech N9ne, here’s the run down. Kansas City representer with his own Strange Music label. Legendary independent Hip-Hop career that features over a million records sold without radio play or major label assistance. Rapid fire rhymer with rated x material along with a razor sharp, understandable at high speed cadence that is built for head nodding. Sound good? Thought so.

His illustrious career gives him the clout to headline just about any show short of rap legends and A3c signed him on (along with right hand man Krizz Kaliko) to close out the big show on the last night. The crowd outside Masquerade stood elbow to elbow after a night full of strong performances including Atlanta native and recent Strange Music signee Ritz. Yelawolf even threw Gumby off the stage to crowd surf, but man when I tell you that Tech destroyed that stage? You better take me at Gospel word.

He ran through a shortened (for him anyway) set full of pace switching classics that the packe dcrowd knew word for word. I can’t lie, I know him well but not his music on that level, but it didn’t matter. He had such a command of his material and true stage mastery that there was an almost military feel to it. Kaliko came first, opening the show with a half step, half S1W routine that belied his size. Despite all the moving and fast rhyming they both did, they were both clear and easy to understand and not out of breath. We’ll let you be the judge of it, here’s a summary video of their entire set courtesy of yours truly. Whereever I am, you are. Enjoy. Tech motherfucking N9ne from Planet Ill to you.
