Kid Cudi Gives Another Glimpse Of Indicudi With King Wizard

By shelz.

So Cudi says his upcoming album is going to be the best album ever, in the history of…ever.  I can’t say I’m with him after hearing “King Wizard,” but you have to love his bravado.

What we have here is a minimal track that’s part 80’s new wave somber and part Revenge Of The Nerds electro performance.  There’s very little under the hood; a little thump, some dark synth, a clap, a sprinkle of high pitched starbursts and a confusing stutter step that made me think the record was skipping.  But it’s not 1983 and I’m not listening to a record.

You can tell Cudi is feeling himself, must be that Dominican blow out he’s been sporting recently.  He’s pushed the lames aside to make room himself because he’s the dopest.  He wears rose gold and ladies love him. Which is good because he also said you can’t call this a comeback because why? He’s been here for years.  Actually, he really said that he never left but … same difference.

Anyway, this song is generally flat, and if Cudi wants anyone to think Indicudi is the best album ever made, he will have to leave this one behind or to the side, like those lame people he likes to talk about.
