IllSide Radio: BET’s Cyphers, Fiasco’s Follow-Up & Kreayshawn’s Flop

By Odeisel

The Planet, along with Chicago’s own Square One of MyBsideBlog, have joined forces to bring you the week in review in Hip-Hop and current events, along with the occasional special guest and some music to keep you moving through your day.

After a week off, the IllSide crew takes a look at Lupe Fiasco’s Food & Liquor follow-up and tells you whether it’s up to snuff. From there we examine the colossal flop that was Kreayshawn’s album release with only 3900 records sold. We look at other ridiculous releases that outsold that number and examine what went wrong. SquareOne, masochist that he is, actually listened to the album and gives his thoughts.

Are the cyphers the only thing worth watching on the BET HIp-Hop awards? We look at whether they are or whether the set-up even should be called a legitimate cipher. (Show was recorded before the ridiculous scrap that happened at the awards show last night.)

We also give a shout out to the NY Daily News for the venom it spewed while reviewing the restaurant owned by Lady Gaga’s father. Hell hath no fury like a reviewer out to make a point. You won’t believe what they compared the restaurant to.

All this and more on the latest edition of IllSide Radio. So sit back, relax and take a ride on the Ill Side.
