Torae: For The Record’s Title Track Gets The Visual Treatment

By shelz.

I’ve only been to New York once (Don’t judge.  If I pay to go somewhere, I prefer sand to concrete.) and what’s funny about this video is it reminds me so much of my one trip to the Big Apple.  Not that I recognize the buildings or the streets, because I don’t.  What I do remember is feeling like I was standing still with massive hyper motion going on all around me.

If you are prone to sensory overload (which I am) New York is not your kind of place.  If everything happening all the time with everyone in the world there to share it with you sounds like fun, visit often.

The video is engaging in a simple NYC way.  You can play name that rapper with all the cameos and the Primo beat, while not his best, is still better than 90% of what everyone else is doing. Torae slinks across the track with a lot of self big up and … well … more self big up, but you’re in the know so you’ve heard this already.  No need to explain.  Enjoy.
