Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded is almost here and yet another track has been liberated from the anticipated sophomore release of Young Money’s queen. “Champion” is rap star heavy with features from Drake, Jeezy and Nas.  You would think this would be the second coming of “Scenario” or something.

Well, unfortunately for all of us, it isn’t.  I’m not quite sure whats wrong with this song, but the total sum of all these great parts is tepid. It’s like being in the kitchen with a great cut of steak, some lobster and some fresh asparagus and cooking up something totally tasteless.  The track is aiight.  The verses are aiight.  Nicki claiming she was pushing weight is laughable, but whatever.

I’m thinking these folks need to go back to the drawing board. Hey, maybe if you shake some salt on this joint, it will sound better.  That’s what I would do about my bland ass steak.  Anyway, take a listen and tell us what you think.
