J. Cole verses bookended by David Ruffin?  Word?  I’m down.

Grown Simba released this track as a thank you after counting up his Twitter followers and realizing he has major metropolitan area worth of folks keeping up with him.  The track is smoking of course.  David Ruffin’s “Double Cross” with little to no tweaking and time for him to shine at the front and back ends.  Nice.

Cole got into autobiography mode and drops some nuggets about his come up, his mind state and loves lost that dot his ascension into rap greatness.  I’m not a huge fan of J. Cole, but when he’s on, it works.  This is good.
