The Scissor Sisters are definitely moving in a new direction with the first release from their upcoming and yet untitled album, but whats with this video? I dont know why I’m creeped out by this, but I am.
Your run-of-the-mill elementary school talent show comes off as grimey and a lil mature for the young ages of its participants. The darkness of it all is so melancholy and eerie. Maybe it’s the mother in me. Who knows?
Scissor Sister fans will probably like the urban turn that these folks have taken. Azealia Banks is rapping. Jake Shears is rapping and the young elementary school girls are shaking it to the beat for old men. Yup, that’s pretty Hip-Hop.
