It looks like we have some ginger to cleanse the palette after the rank sushi that was Lulu.

Metallica, in their regained wisdom, has emailed a mea culpa to the fans called “Hate Train.”  Its a Death Magnetic session throw away and sounds like my kid recorded it on his hand held.  But anything, and I mean anything, is a step up from the last project they worked on.  Hate is a train, my friends.  At least this time its not a table.

Anyway, this song is long as hell and changes sonic shape several times.  Hetfield gets a little chipmunky in the more restrained parts, but I’ll take it.  I hear they are performing this live these days and its probably a treat.  Enjoy.
