The Asteroids Galaxy Tour: Golden Age (Justice Remix)

By shelz.

As Justice comes closer to the drop of their 2nd studio album Audio, Video, Disco they have decided to let loose a remix of The Asteroids Galaxy Tour’s funky “The Golden Age.”  Name doesn’t sound familiar?  Hit the play button, you’ve heard it before.  Madison Avenue tends to trump the average music listener when it comes to catchy, obscure music.

Between that crazy Heineken commercial and all those Made Men ads, this is one of those songs that get stuck in your head for days at a time.  Finally you get to put a face with the song.  Wait.  Heineken did that for you in the long play of the commercial.  Well, now you have a name to go with the face and the music.

Justice doesn’t step too far from the original. The saloon piano is gone as is the horn section and a great bassline, not thump but strings, has been added.  There’s a depth to this remix not found on the original, possibly from some of that murky synth slid under the bottom.  Nice.  Maybe Heineken will have a remixed commercial.  I think I like this better than the original.

The Heiney vid is appended.  I watch this and immediately think the most interesting man in the world has some competition. Enjoy.
