Chris Skillz is one of those new breed artists whose work echo past eras. His music has that 90’s sensibility that reminds you of the innocence of the music. Not that the 90’s wasn’t overtly commercial but it just wasn’t as blatant unless you were actually rapping in commercials. We had been trying to catch up with him for a minute to check his brain and see whether or not he was legit but hes’ been a busy guy, dropping mixtapes and opening for Mobb Deep on tour. We finally had to show some reach and hit him in the studio with a few questions that speak to his mission and what he’s about.
