Conservative Outrage Flares As Michelle Obama Invites Common to the White House to Recite Poetry

Legendary lyricist, Common, was recently invited to the White House by Michelle Obama to recite poetry. However, many conservatives are in an outrage because they feel that Common’s music is corrosive to the American society.

Fox News spearheaded the outrage alongside The New Hampshire Journal, and The Daily Caller. Sarah Palin spoke as well against the decision to have Common present for the star-studded poetry event.  Fox called the Chicago emcee a “vile rapper” while The New Hampshire Journal noted, “Some of Common’s poetry…could raise some eyebrows among those who might find cop-killing and racially tinged or misogynist language beneath the Office of the Presidency.”  Palin tweeted, “Oh lovely, White House…” with the link to the Daily Caller article dissenting with the White House invite.

Funny thing is, about seven months ago, Fox News was loving Common. In October 2010, reporter Jason Robinson interviewed Common, practically gushing, “your music is very positive and you’re known as the conscious rapper. How important is that to you, and how important do you think that is to our kids?”  Common replied that it’s a “significant role. I just try to show who we are as well-rounded people and I’m happy to be known as the conscious artist.”

The Right Wingers also found the time to pick at the corpse of an old Jill Scott Essence piece, casting her as a racist and criticizing her invite as well. All it really boils down to, is that Obama smells like roses over eliminating bin Laden, and now his detractors are trying to find something, anything to dim that light. Nothing new here, except some publicity for Scott who has an album coming out.

Mike Epps, You Got Served!

Mike Epps was entertaining a crowd with his stand-up comedy routine at the Verizon Theater in Grand Prairie when a young woman walked up to the comedian and served him with court documents from a lawsuit about a previous club brawl.

Epps started to curse out the young woman about being served. Mike looked down at her and said, “White bitch just threw some papers up on the mother fucking stage…bitch, fuck you.” “This is from when I whooped that nigga’s ass in Detroit.”  While the young woman walked away from the stage, Mike yelled to her, “Bitch, I don’t give a fuck…suck my dick.”

Mike is a wild boy for that, but when you’re in front of your fans; what else are you going to do except act a damn fool?

Kanye Asks For A Million Dollars for Bar Mitzvah. They Take Drake For $250,000

Former President and CEO of NBC/Universal, Jeff Zucker decided to put together a Bar Mitzvah at the Four Seasons in New York for his son Andrew. Jeff was hoping that Kanye would perform at his son’s coming of age ceremony. Yeezy’s asking price was $1,000,000 dollars and Jeff considered that too much bread. He considered a counter-offer of $800,000 dollars (according to an inside source).

Zucker decided to go “economy” and acquired Young Money star Drake (whose mother is Jewish) for $250,000 dollars. Like Jeff’s son, Drake had his own Bar Mitzvah as a young man, and performed for  50 of Andrew Zucker’s friends and family.
