The HandStand 2 Makes The iPad2 Easy To Hold And Easy To Use

By Odeisel

As the laptop conspired to make desktop personal computing a thing of the past, so it seems that the tablet is trying to reduce the relevance of the laptop. While personally, I’m not a fan, you can’t help but marvel at how swiftly the iPad (sounds like a digital feminine product, but I digress) and the various android tablet models have caught on.

The problem with the tablet is they can be very awkward for new users in terms of balance and ergonomically, it’s just not what’s up. Their portability also makes for an easier snatch and grab treat for thieves, particularly if you are on a crowded subway on your tablet. As is usually the case, someone somewhere will invent something that will answer the initial failings of someone else’s product design. In this case, for all the iPadophiles out there, you now have the Handstand, an iPad case that allows you to handle your tablet with one hand without resting it on a table or your lap.

The Handstand features a rotating disk that allows for the pad to swivel in your hand while remaining stable. The disk is connected to a hand pad that conforms to your fingers so they don’t slip and secured by an elastic strap that keeps everything in place.

The casing is a flexible silicone housing that protects your screen and the body of the iPad from scratches and scrapes. For you green people, it’s made from 100% recyclable material. For you patriots, it’s 100% made in the USA.

The movement on the device is smooth but stable, allowing a full rotation. There is also a ridge on the case that allows for a resting elevation so it’s easier to type on the iPad.

They just dropped HandStand2 for the iPad2.  They retail for $49.99 but if you order before April 25th, you can get a $10 discount here.
