Red Bottoms: It’s Louboutin, Not LaaBuTawn…Get Hip Ladies

By shelz.

So Latoya Jackson was on MTV Rapfix yesterday, talking about a mixtape she’s about to drop (who knew Latoya rapped?  You go girl!) and it appears people were taken with her shoes way more than anything she had to say.

Okay it wasn’t Latoya, it was her twin sister Lil Kim.  However, the shoe part is true.  Kim was even asked about the footwear by a fan that obviously had not purchased Black Friday. (because if she had, she would have been questioning the whereabouts of her money) But anyway, Kim said that the shoes were Louboutins.  The brand rolled off her tongue (her pronunciation was off, but I forgive her) along with a weird lilt like she was fronting a French accent.  I don’t know why people feel the need to say the name of a high end brand in the accent of the country the product is made in.  No one tries to sound like they are Indian when they buy Yaki or like they’re from Philadelphia when they order a cheese steak. (Yes, I know Philadelphia isn’t a country.)

The shoes were gorgeous.  I would have liked to see Kim walk in them though.  I swear that heel looked like it was 7 inches high.  I’ll bet that guy she was sitting with carried her from the car to that couch. That may be why she kept her legs crossed in that weird position through the whole interview.  Those big shoes were surely very heavy.  She probably couldn’t move her feet.  Poor girl. But that’s not here nor there. We’re going to get our upper echelon game up and take a quick peek at the wonderful red bottom world of the Louboutin shoe mullet; business on the top and party on the bottom.

First, we need to get the pronunciation down.  So all of you darlings won’t be running around saying it like Latoya..I mean Kim did.

Christian Louboutin has a line of Barbies.  Take that Steve Madden.

There are three and the shoemaker designed all of them from head to toe.  They all came with four pairs of red bottom shoes and skinnier ankles.  Yes, when Christian Louboutin looked at Barbie he decided her cankles and his shoes did not match.  Imagine a fat barbie.  Only in the fashion world people.

Famous women adore these shoes.

Move over Imelda Marcos, there’s a new Sheriff in town.  Danielle Steele claims to own over 6000 pairs of these shoes. And she got them without using money made on the backs of the disenfranchised and downtrodden. Oprah seems to have set all the cameras at floor level during her show just so you can see the bottoms of her Louboutin shoes. J Lo even made a song in honor of the brand.

Christian Louboutin sues rappers. Booooooooo.

Just ask Ol’Kainry.  Who?  Ol’Kainry.  He had a song called “Sexy Legging et Louboutins” and the girl in the video was wearing a pair of Lou Booooooo Tawns and he sued because the use of his product in this light “demeaned” his brand. According to news stories, the chick in the video was wearing knock offs.  Lol…

Monsieur Louboutin also makes sneakers and men’s shoes,  but they don’t seem to have made the splash that the pumps and boots have.  Hope this little lesson helps and hopefully Latoya will be releasing Black Friday soon.  Later darlings.
