Planet Ill Breakdown — 11 November 2010

Car folks, get it together.  The Cool Kids are back with “Big Talk” and the lows would make Bass Mekaniks proud.  You could actually kill two birds with one stone here.  Enjoy some laid back shit poppin while you tune your EQ. It’s brilliant multi-tasking for budget minded bass ballers everywhere.

The track is a low 5 mph roll through the park.  Subterrestrial lows prevent those with dollar day speakers to join the fray.  The distorted rattle between the bottomless thumps adds the need for precision or else you’ll sound like a ham-fisted mess.  This song just sounds like low profiles on asphalt; expensive ones.  But that’s what The Cool Kids do best.

The convo is simple.  We have it.  You don’t.  We’re dope.  You aren’t.  You’re just talking ish.  I back mine up.  Word is bond dude, but you’ll learn that one day.

The Chitown duo sounds as good, cocky and indifferent as ever.  Maybe one day they will have released enough singles for me to put together my own Cool Kids album.  My bad, they already have.  Giving a release date would be some “Big Talk” right now.  Hopefully, that’s next.  Enjoy.
