Atmosphere is really one of the hardest working groups in Hip-Hop. They have a tour coming up. They have an album coming up. They have dual EP’s coming up. I would say this probably eats up their Twitter time, but damn if they aren’t there as well. That’s where they leaked this song from. Hip-Hoppers take note. Twitter and your grind are not mutually exclusive. Enough said.
The first single from this double dip EP situation is “Freefallin.” The song is driven by a sleepy guitar, some intermittent bass and a drum underneath. Imagine Chris Isaac’s “Wicked Game” mixed with The Youngblood’s “Get Together” with enough thump to give it a tinge of Hip-Hop aesthetic and there you go.
The story is simple. You complain entirely too much. Your job isn’t all glitz and glamour and your boss might be an old curmudgeonly sonamabish, but at least you have one. There are people who don’t. Your chick might not give you that Destiny’s Child catering action anymore and the arguments might needle you into insanity at times, but hey, at least she hasn’t tied you to the bed and set in on fire yet. Listen to THAT song and then remember how good you have it. Some folks haven’t experienced love at all.
It’s simple thinking that will take you a long way. Dwell on the good more than you dwell on the bad and that may just fix your pessimistic way of looking at things. Word.
