Last night at the ESPN pre-draft party, we caught up with West Coast legend Ice-T and his wife Cocoa on the red carpet. We asked Ice a few things that had been on our minds that would be interesting to our viewers and would be things that he was an authority on (nothing worse than celebrities talking out their asses on things they don’t really know about).
Ice Oscillator (shout to Kool Keith) was gracious with his time, especially in a place full of free booze, brother ?uestlove killing the 1s and 2s, and more stars than you could count.
He spoke on the hardest song he ever heard in his life, how to navigate the gang culture and whether you can ever escape it, how hard it is to be happily married in an industry that lends itself to wild things, and what his feelings were on the recent tragic death of Guru. Ice had a few choice words for a certain “Super producer.” Without further ado, Ice-T.

Ice always keeps it funky. One of the realest cats I have ever spoken to.
Malice Intended
Ice-T is the Godfather of West coast gangsta rap and a true pioneer of the game. Regardless of how you might feel about his music and his opinions he ALWAYS speaks his mind. That is a rarity in this day and age.
